Independent consultants to moderate sized consulting firms
that would like to associate with a larger firm that has developed a program to
work with a diverse group of consultants to meet the needs of clients.
What is this site for?
Converse Consultants has made a corporate decision to provide a site to
facilitate teaming with other consultants to provide consulting services. This
site is designed to facilitate teaming arrangements by making it easier to
identify possible participants and provide a place for other consultants to get
help on a proposal too large for them to handle.
What does it cost me?
Nothing, except the 5 to 10 minutes required to register.
What am I agreeing to do?
Initially you will be entering information about your
professional experience into a database that is part of a
site designed to promote the teaming of consultants in response to specific client
project needs. You are also agreeing to respond in a professional manner should
you be contacted to team on a proposal, and if awarded, throughout the duration
of the contract.
Are jobs listed here for me to propose on?
No, this is not a site designed to list proposals. It is
designed to facilitate response to a proposal that has already been identified
by a participating consultant.
Am I automatically accepted?
No, all requests for registration are reviewed and will be
accepted at the sole discretion of Converse Associates Administrator. Generally
consultants that have
acceptable qualifications, agree to abide by the rules
for participation and provide the necessary database information will be
accepted.
After I am enrolled what happens?
You may be contacted by Converse Associates to participate in a specific
proposal; You may contact Converse Associates to see if we are interested in serving as a
prime of a specific proposal.
What happens when I am contacted for a proposal?
You may be requested to provide additional information such as
available insurance, resumes, billing rates and job specific information.
Typically this information will become part of the extended database for future
use. You will be asked to sign a contract defining the prime/subcontractor
relationship ( see Standard Sub-Consultant
Agreement).
Can I elect not to participate in a proposal?
You may decline the offer for cause however repeated refusal
to participate may result your deletion from the database.
Must I bid exclusively with the Converse Team?
In most cases, no, you would be free to bid with other teams.
You are not allowed to share any information obtained from participation in this
site with competitors. Failure to maintain confidentiality or use of this
site to assist in preparation of a competitive proposal may result in your
removal from the project team and permanent removal from the site.
What about insurance?
Sub-consultants will have to purchase/maintain coverage for the services they provide. For some jobs Converse may be able to
hire individuals directly as part time or temporary employees. We require that
our subs carry insurance to protect us even where our clients don't (see
Standard Sub-Consultant Agreement).
What are my responsibilities?
At a minimum you agree to abide by the rules and register
initially. Ideally you agree to use the site as an active participant which will
provide all participants with an opportunity to work together for their mutual
economic benefit. Keep in mind that this site is primarily designed as a tool to
provide better response to clients.
What is Level Two enrollment?
The initial registration is a minimal database that allows
Converse Associates to identify possible participants. The level two enrollment is a more
detailed database developed in part by entering job specific information during
a specific proposal response. As your specific data set becomes more
robust it facilitates the preparation of specific proposals. You can enter
additional information such as other employee resumes, broader range of
corporate job experience, 254/255 forms at any time, or in response to a request
related to a specific job.
